Logos Appoints Celeste Chappuis to Director of Education
Celeste Chappuis is no stranger to Logos School. She has been at Logos for 4 years, and has served as Director of the Middle School for 3 years. Now, as Director of Education, Celeste will be responsible for leading the teachers and teacher assistants. As she was re-introduced to the staff with her new title, “teamwork, teamwork, teamwork,” rang forth in her opening comments.
Celeste comes to this position with over 12 years classroom teaching experience, almost 20 years coaching experience, 10 years experience as a licensed therapist, and a wealth of knowledge from other areas of the educational arena.
In working with students, Celeste expressed the following goals for her staff:
- To build whole people who take their place in the world with a
sense of fairness, grace, dignity and a belief in themselves and
in their abilities - To afford students the opportunity to obtain a life worth living
- To inspire students to dismantle poorly adapted views of themselves
while empowering them to develop and implement a life of their
design.
Celeste believes the staff at Logos has an opportunity that comes around just once in a blue moon—and is honored to be a part of this team. Celeste has always been a teacher and a coach. Even as a therapist, teaching was first, last and always.
The mission of Logos School is: A premier provider of help for adolescents to become successful, problem-solving young adults by providing them and their parents with effective academic and therapeutic programs utilizing individualized plans executed in an ethical environment focusing on trust and community value.
Celeste is excited about teaming with her staff to accomplish this crucial mission.
In addition to her ambitious role as Director of Education, Celeste will continue her duties as Middle School Director.
