Logos Middle and High School

Parental Involvement

Logos School provides support, guidance and education for parents of adolescents with unique academic and emotional needs. Logos School insists that parents become actively involved with the academic and emotional growth of their adolescent.

All parents are required to attend a weekly support group facilitated by Logos therapists. Parent groups provide a forum for parents to discuss the individual needs of their adolescent and receive guidance and support from other parents and therapists.

Some topics discussed:

  • Setting boundaries within the home
  • Providing consistency and structure
  • Creating appropriate consequences for negative behavior at home and school
  • Addressing the individual needs of the adolescent while not neglecting the rest of the family
  • Keeping harmony in the home during vacations and holidays

Parents are in constant contact with Logos staff regarding their adolescent’s progress. Therapists contact parents a minimum of once a week and academic faculty contact parents a minimum of once a term. Therapists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
