Nicole Thompson, Ed. S is an educator, author, mentor to urban youth, and retired school psychologist . She completed her graduate studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her undergraduate studies at Temple University, where she is now an Adjunct Professor. For the past five years, she has worked as a Psychologist in a large urban high school. Her role has been to collaborate with students, families, staff, and stakeholders from the school and community to better serve the student population.
She is a mentor and founder of a female empowerment group named Frankford’s Finest Females which sparked the creation an annual all female Black history program.
Also known as The Urban School Psychologist (theurbanschoolpsychologist.com), she is the founder of Reverse the Adverse, a trauma-competent training program. Her mission is to raise awareness and teach educators how to better serve urban students plagued with trauma. She is an annual presenter for a world-renowned mental health conference, and projected presenter for an ivy league university.
