Name: Sam (they/them)
Age: 16
Grade: 11th
Sam is a 16-year-old high school junior who’s learning to step into their identity with strength and pride. Assigned female at birth but identifying as non-binary, Sam has spent years feeling out of place in environments that didn't reflect who they are. At previous schools, Sam experienced repeated misgendering, felt dismissed by adults, and struggled to find spaces where they could simply be themselves.
Sam came to Logos School seeking something different: a community built on empathy, acceptance, and respect. At Logos, Sam not only finds affirmation but also purpose. Through their involvement in the Queer Youth Peer Leadership Program (QYLP), they’ve become a vocal advocate for gender inclusivity and emotional wellness—both for themselves and for other students navigating similar experiences.
In this supportive setting, Sam is learning to manage the mental and emotional impact of gender dysphoria while developing confidence, community, and a deeper understanding of who they are. Logos offers more than a safe space—it offers a platform for growth, advocacy, and belonging.
