Therapeutics
Logos School offers comprehensive therapeutic programming tailored to meet each student's individual needs, promoting personal growth while prioritizing family preservation and involvement.
Our innovative and intensive therapeutic program is the cornerstone of our approach. Upon enrollment, every student is paired with a dedicated therapist who works closely with them to develop and support their therapeutic and academic goals. We provide real-time interventions and weekly and individual group therapy.
Logos therapists apply a Cognitive Behavioral approach, drawing on the principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to provide effective and personalized care. Therapists help students learn and practice key life skills that will help them navigate life both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition, they provide conflict mediation, crisis intervention, anger management, and behavior modification programs. Through therapy, students receive the psycho-social and emotional support necessary to grow into resilient, thriving young adults.
We strive to provide a vibrant and positive culture where teachers and therapists engage with every student to build trusting and meaningful relationships.
Individual Therapy
Upon enrollment, every student is paired with a dedicated therapist who works closely with them to develop and support their therapeutic and academic goals. Through regular meetings and check-ins, the therapist assists the student in setting achievable goals and developing strategies to overcome obstacles. This proactive approach not only enhances the student's progress but also cultivates a sense of accountability and motivation.
The student's individual therapist maintains weekly contact with the family to discuss progress, challenges, strategies, and resources they may need. This ongoing dialogue helps ensure that all parties are informed and involved in the student's progress and well-being.
Every Logos student receives the following:
- One counseling session per week
- Individual therapeutic treatment plan
- Communication regarding successes and/or concerns
- Crisis counseling
- Mentor/coaching/life skills counseling
Group Therapy
Group therapy is facilitated by two members of the therapeutic staff and occurs twice a week. The goal of group therapy is to teach skills for self-regulation and self-mastery while fostering acceptance. This is achieved by equipping students with various tools to effectively address the challenges and experiences that arise in their lives. Our group therapy is themed based on the kind of support support students need; it focuses on the new student phase, various behaviors and skills, and the leadership/transition stage.
With group therapy, Logos students receive the following:
- Two group counseling sessions per week
- Social skill building
- Peer-to-peer communication and feedback
- Self-advocacy counseling

Behavioral Therapy
The behavior intervention programs serve as an additional therapeutic resource. The Student Support Center (SSC) and Therapeutic and Academic Support Center (TASC) programs support the individual and group counseling that is occurring on a weekly basis. SSC provides brief therapeutic intervention that allows students to process immediate incidents in a safe space, enabling them to readjust and return to their classroom.
Part of the SSC space has also been converted into a sensory room. The sensory room is equipped to help students enhance concentration, attention, and alertness. In addition, optical, acoustic, and tactile stimuli in the room help students learn to self-sooth, direct their focus, and deal with real-life encounters in a healthy way.
TASC is available to students in need of extended therapeutic support. In TASC, students are expected to complete academic assignments and process the social, emotional, and/or behavior challenges that lead them to TASC.
