Message from Head of School
The year 2020 was like no other. However, through it all, our entire LOGOS community stayed strong and found creative ways to support one another, determined to remain mission-focused, and move forward during these challenging times.
I am proud of how every member of our school community worked together to ensure that the education, health, and welfare of our students and their families were top priorities.
We often talk about the ‘LOGOS Magic’ — this past year challenged us to reimagine how we create that ‘LOGOS Magic’ to meet the needs of our students. Despite the school year being so different — having to step back from social circles, being sidelined from sports and activities, and at times, staying completely isolated — I have been proud of what we have been able to accomplish. With a wonderful spirit and amazing collaboration from our school families, our students had hours of quality education and therapy each day virtually.
The past year also brought us a change in leadership. I would like to recognize the incredible commitment of George Paz as he finishes his term as the Chairman of the Board for LOGOS. George has given us more than 20 years of outstanding leadership. Since stepping into the role of Chairman in 2007, we have reaffirmed our commitment to our mission as well as expanded and sharpened our financial strategies and tactics. While George is remaining on our Board of Directors and will work to ensure a smooth transition with Everett Neville, who will lead us as the next Chairman, I want to thank George and his wife Melissa for their generous support and commitment to LOGOS over these many years. They have long been champions for educational equality and opportunity, and we would not be where we are today without their dedication and incredible giving spirit.
As we continue to reimagine our future as a school community, our mission remains at the forefront. We look forward to helping each student succeed and creatively adapt to the many opportunities that lie ahead. Thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and dedication for all that we do.
With sincere gratitude,
Kathleen Fenger ’79, Ph.D.
